I am Montana Stephens, a senior (Fourth Year) here at the University of New England that will be graduating in the Spring of 2022. I’m studying Marine Affairs with a writing minor and hopefully a communication minor as well soon. I am also the treasurer of Ocean Club that has ocean bingo once a year that has environmentally friendly prizes. I work in the campus center as one of the leads of Event Production and in the housing department as a Commuter Life Mentor. 

I hope the individuals reading this handbook are able to take the weight off their shoulders when they read about the people and resources that are here on campus that can help along the way. Including the importance of separating school from social and personal well-being. Each part of this handbook is to aid them in their academic endeavors except for helping them decide what is best for them. That is all up to the individual to strive the best they can and choose the right choices for themselves. College is a great place to expand your world and if this handbook helps to make that world a little easier then that is what I hope is achieved.
